Life and disability coverage built for Ohio’s small businesses.

The Ohio Small Business Council has partnered with OneAmerica to give members access to Life, AD&D, and Disability coverage with large-group strength — available to groups from 2 to 99 employees. Your OCIA team helps you request a quote, compare your options, and put coverage in place.

The Ohio Small Business Council Life & Disability Benefits Program offers employer-paid or voluntary plans built for Council members, with coverage effective the 1st of any month.

The coverage you can offer

Each line can be employer-paid, voluntary (employee-paid), or a combination — you choose the products and plan designs that fit your team and budget.

Life & AD&D

A lump-sum benefit that helps protect an employee’s family. Basic employer-paid benefit of $10,000, $20,000, or $50,000, plus voluntary coverage up to $300,000 ($50,000 guaranteed issue). AD&D matches the Life amount.

Short-Term Disability

Replaces a portion of income during a temporary illness, injury, or the birth of a child — 60% of income to $1,500 per week. Employer- or employee-paid.

Long-Term Disability

Protects a paycheck through a serious illness or injury that keeps an employee out for the long haul — 60% of income to $6,000 per month, with a 90- or 180-day elimination period.

Plan designs for each line are in the Product Brochure. Coverage is subject to eligibility and underwriting.
